This Black Walnut end grain cutting board is the right size at the right price. 9 1/2" x 12" x 2" thick. Sanded smooth & oiled with food safe mineral oil and Howard butcher conditioner. The last sanding is done by hand with 400 grit sandpaper for a nice smooth finish. You can add rubber feet with stainless steel screws for $10.00.
End grain construction is more durable than a regular edge grain cutting board. It keeps your knives much sharper and your blades lasting longer. Instead of crushing against the wood fibers, the blade of the knife goes between them much like cutting into a firm brush.

Item was received quickly and with instructions for it's care. I had feet added so it would be easier to pick it up from counter and to protect it if counter was wet. This is a substantial board and looks to be well made and of high quality. It's my first 'walnut' board, so I'm getting used to the dark color. I can tell you this - what a difference chopping on this board vs. my other boards. I am very happy with this purchase. Thank you!
